Spring is around the corner, and we have a few exciting updates to share with the community!

SOLAR LIGHTS

Thanks to Sean for recently installing the new solar lights in the Mail Hale and formerly dark stairs wells of buildings 3 and 4, and 8 thru 13.

BOARD NEWS

Congratulations to newly elected Association Of Unit Homeowners Kamalani Board members Ms. Graciela Dyangko and Mr. Justin Allen.  

We have received a resignation from Matt Cubulka, leaving a vacancy on the Board. Many thanks to Matt, our "wizard" behind the website, newsletter and more. Thank you to Casey Lamb for volunteering to take over website management.

If you are interested in serving on the Board, please submit a one page Statement of Interest by April 14 to Kamalani Property Manager MarilynC@hmcmgt.com, to be included in the upcoming Board meeting packet. A Statement of Interest submitted prior to this newsletter request will not be considered. There are no minimum requirements for Board service. Board members are expected to prepare for, attend and participate in all monthly Board meetings.   

NEW COMMITEE

We have a new Reserve Study Committee consisting of Board members Desiree Lopes, Justin Allen and John Harman, and owner member Ryan Nishita. Thank you to Ryan for volunteering for the Reserve Study Committee in response to the February newsletter request.

ABANDONED AUTOS

A&B removed the abandoned vehicle at the top of Kamahiwa Street. The County of Maui has been notified of the abandoned vehicle located on the front strip of property fronting Kamalani along Piilani Highway and has it listed to be removed.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS

Sean reset the timers for the lights on the buildings for Spring sunset / sunrise times. If there is a slight delay, please be patient. 

CALENDAR

April 22 - Board Meeting. 

The Board meets monthly on the 4th Thursday, with the exception of December. Owners are invited to attend. Notices are posted in the bulletin boards on property 72 hours before a board meeting. Due to COVID-19 Emergency rules, the board has been meeting via zoom. Zoom meeting information is posted on the notices. If you have any questions, please contact Marilyn Chapman at MarilynC@hmcmgt.com.

PEST CONTROL

June 2 - Pest Control

Mid-Pacific Pest Control will complete the quarterly treatment for pests on the outside of our buildings. You may schedule a personal appointment to treat inside your unit, including garage, porch and/or yard, for a charge, by calling (808) 796-5052. You pay this fee directly to Mid-Pacific for treating inside your unit
